Purple Sky Winery | Spring Overview 2026

It’s been a busy time bottling here at Purple Sky, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. For Valentine’s Day, we released two of our 2025 estate whites, the Frontenac Gris and La Crescent, plus the ever-popular Nadja’s Blush Rosé, all three to much fanfare.

Now we are ready to release the next slate of whites just in time for Easter and our one-year restaurant anniversary. We invite you to come try the following new wines releasing March 20th.

Green Mantis

The newest addition to our Cold Blooded line of wines, Green Mantis is a crisp California Sauvignon Blanc. On the nose, it has lime, lemongrass, and a touch of green melon, balanced by a palate of citrus fruit, salty minerality, and fresh acidity. It is a perfect accompaniment to seafood and chicken dishes.

Note: Our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, which is being aged in barrel at this very moment, should be released in June or July.

Frontenac Blanc

The last, but certainly not least, of our three estate whites, Frontenac Blanc is a sweeter wine with a palate that explodes with passion fruit, white grape, and dragon fruit. This fruit comes from our estate vineyard in Honeyville, Utah, and pairs beautifully with cheeses and desserts.

Woodhouse White

This is a change-up from our previous Woodhouse. While the former Woodhouse was a blend of Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, in 2025 we changed it up. The new Woodhouse is still semi-sweet, but is now 100% Riesling from Rattlesnake Hills, Washington.

Fuji apple, pears, and undertones of sweet floral notes float out of the glass, while honey-baked pears dance on the tongue. This is definitely one of our favorites this year, so don’t miss out on the new and improved Woodhouse.

Nadja’s Glow Chardonnay

Like Green Mantis, Nadja’s Glow Chardonnay is a new addition under our expanded Nadja’s line. These grapes from Rattlesnake Hills, Washington, were fermented in a stainless steel tank, with 20% going to neutral barrels to age on lees.

The result is a structured wine that is not oaky or buttery. It has subtle notes of lime, peach, and just a touch of woodiness from the barrel. However, the minerality is the star of this wine.

Note: If you are a fan of Chardonnays with a bit more oak and butteriness, fear not. We have a Chardonnay in this more classic style coming up. This method just requires a bit more time in the barrel, so look for this Reserve Chardonnay to release around June or July.

Reserve Riesling

Already a big hit and currently available by glass only from our keg, this dry Riesling is set to release for bottle sales shortly after the others on April 9th.

It offers notes of apples, pears, and honey on the nose, while a touch of acid brings home flavors of Granny Smith apple, orange blossom, and minerality. This is one you do not want to miss.
What About the Reds?

We know what some of you are thinking: what about the reds?

We are looking at a summertime bottling for five of our reds: Estate Frontenac, Zinfandel, Viper Red, Gila, and our mystery red. Our Rocks District Cabernet and Syrah need a bit more time to age in barrel, so look for those in 2027.

We know another year is torturous, but it will be worth the wait.

Restaurant Updates

Has it already been a year? On April 4th, it will officially be one year since our restaurant and tasting room opened to the public, and what a year it has been.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the support we have received over the past year. To celebrate this milestone, our kitchen is whipping up some extra delicious specials for that weekend. Keep an eye out for the finalized menu release and come celebrate with us.

Things are heating up here in Utah, and our seasonal menu has its sights set on May 1st for the launch of our new summer menu. So don’t miss out on fan favorites like Bison Ribs and Duck Breast before the summer menu changes.
